The streets were lined with many stores and many people were walking around. This is the Pettah district in Colombo, which is the most commercial area in Sri Lanka. The oldest mosque in Colombo, the Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, is located in this area, which has been a thriving trade area for a long time.
What a traveler could understand is that many stores are open and many people are carrying loads. Some of the men were walking around with large loads over their heads. Not only carrying it on his head, but also carrying bags in his hands. I wonder what they purchased so much, even though this is also a wholesale district.
