There was a narrow street running between buildings that were a bit tattered. It was a narrow alleyway where no cars were allowed to enter. Instead of cars running, there were a lot of people strutting about.
The building in the alley where people were walking was lined with small shops. There was a leaflet on the wall that seemed to be written in Arabic. Maybe there are many Muslims in this district. There are many Muslims in India as well. When you hear that about 13% of the population is Muslim, you may think that it is not so many, but in absolute terms, the number of Muslims exceeds 180 million. That's more than the total population of Japan.
As I looked down the alleyway, a boy standing in the middle of the street seemed to have noticed me and was looking at me intently.
