I was walking along the main road. Even though it was a well-paved main road, there was not much traffic. The main road in the suburbs of Luang Nam Tha was not much different from a simple country road. As I walked slowly, occasionally being passed by cars, I saw a road sign made of stone on the side of the road. It must have originally been set up properly, but it had almost fallen over.
As I approached the sign, I found out that it was 7 kilometers from the town of Phonxaisavang. However, I didn't know where the town of Phonxaisavang was. I thought it would be a big town since it was written on the sign, but it is not. It was a very small town in northern Laos. In any case, the fallen road sign seemed to be tired of telling me the distance to this not-so-major town.
