In India, cars like jeeps are also a means of transportation between nearby towns. The car in this photo is like that. At first glance, they look like a group of friends getting in a car and going somewhere, but this is not the case. The people in the photo were passengers and waiting for the bus to leave.
Some women in a saree could also be seen on the bus. The car had no doors, only a hood to protect it from the rain. One woman sitting in the back seat looked pensive and was staring somewhere in the distance.
