Although the Old Town of Galle is registered as a World Heritage Site, it is not a popular tourist destination that attracts tourists from all over the world. I trudged along the deserted streets. I saw a three-wheeler parked at the end of a narrow road.
The vehicle called an auto-rickshaw in India is called a three-wheeler here in Sri Lanka. I guess they call it a three-wheeler because it has three wheels, but I wonder why they didn't start calling it a tricycle.
A woman with her hands on her hips was standing next to the three-wheeler at the end of the road. She might have asked for a ride. But the driver was nowhere to be seen around the vehicle. It would be impossible to start the car.
