The Gates Of Hell In Ueno

The Gates of Hell by Rodin

Some artworks were displayed in the front courtyard

Shot at National Museum of Western Art in Ueno, Tokyo.

There are some sculptures in the front courtyard of the building of this museum, which was designed by Le Corbusier. One of them is 'The Gates of Hell' by French artist Auguste Rodin. Here is one of seven places where this artwork is displayed.

Because it doesn't need to see this to pay the admission fee, I gaze blankly. According to the name, the hell is spreading on the far side of the gate. Yet what really stands there is an administration office. It might sail under false colors. Anyway, I am reassured that the gate is closed tightly.
