This temple built in 1490 was one of the famous temples in Kyoto. Although Ginkaku-Ji means the 'Temple of the Silver Pavilion', no silver was used on its surface.
From the hill in the precinct, the appearance was well seen. It stood in the woods. Many tourists ought to visit this temple like me. Their figures were hidden by the trees. The wooden temple seemed to linger in the silence. The serene hush matched well with the historic religious place.
