The wooden Torii was seen between the trees

Torii in woods in Meiji Jingu
Shot at Meiji Jingu, a Shinto Shrine in Harajuku, Tokyo

Before arriving at the main hall of Meiji Jingu, several Torii appeared on the approach. The wooden object in this photo was one of them. The big wooden torii was standing in the woods. Torii is a traditional Japanese gateway stands at the entrance of or within a Shinto shrine.

A golden family crest was seen on the pillar. Because this shrine enshrines Meiji Emperor and Empress, it is the imperial family's.
