The figure standing in the elevator hall was poised and did not move

It was a holiday, so the elevator hall at Tokyo Opera City was deserted; looking out over the elevator hall from the second floor, I saw very few people passing by. Instead, I saw a figure standing erect and immobile in the middle of the hall. Though casually installed, it was the work "Two Times II" by noted sculptor Antony Gormley.

The large silhouetted statue stands at the entrance to the elevator hall as if to prevent evil spirits from riding the elevator up to the upper floors. Fortunately, the statue did not seem to recognize me as a suspicious person as I gazed blankly from above, and it did not take one look at me.
