I visited an alleyway near Kichijoji Station. The alleyway is densely packed with bars, cafeterias and shops, and it's called Harmonica Alley. I wonder if there used to be a lot of people with harmonicas on the street. At any rate, the name evokes the scent of the old favorite era. The alleyway, which succeeded in escaping the wave of redevelopment, has a certain charm to it. And there were a lot of people coming and going in the alley.
It was still too early to eat, but some bars were already open for business, and some people were feeling tipsy when I peeked inside. The restaurant at the edge of the photo also seemed to be open for business because the sign was lit up. When I stopped and held up my camera, a woman wearing a mask crossed the alleyway.
