There were many stalls along the approach to Kawasaki Daishi, a Buddhist temple. It wasn't even a festival day, but it looked like a fairground. One of them was a shooting gallery where a boy was playing with a toy rifle. A boy with a toy rifle in his hand was aiming hard for a prize.
He must have a prize he wanted so badly. He was lying on the counter, stretched out, trying to get as close to the target as possible. He was so tall that the tip of his rifle was already about to reach the prize, and the boy himself was in a posture where he was worried that he would have too much momentum and fall to the other side of the counter.
