The man thumbed up happily on the luggage carrier of a truck
The truck was parked on the road in Kolkata. There were pictures scrawled on the body of the vehicle in a twisted line. They looked like flowers. And there was something written on the back in Bengali letters. But I didn't know what was written on it.
At least I was sure it didn't say "BABY ON BOARD". On the back of the truck was a man in a tank top with a stubbled beard. He must have been a BABY at one time, but if he told me that he was now, I could only be confused.
The man, who didn't know what was going on inside me, noticed the camera and gave me a thumbs up with a happy smile.
