It was a beautiful day. A lot of people were visiting Shinjuku Gyoen Park. The sun was shining, and many of the people who were spending time in the park were sitting under the trees. I could see each person's shadow in the shade of each tree.
In the midst of all this, I saw a woman reading in one of the shady trees. The woman was reading a paper book. Electronic books such as Kindles are great for reading on the train or at Starbucks, but paper books are more appropriate for reading lying on the lawn. I don't think e-books are appropriate for the lawn. However, the trend of the times is irreversible, and paper books will probably disappear rapidly.
