Queue In The Precinct

Queue in precinct

The worshipers waited in a queue

Shot at Nezu Shrine, a Shinto shrine in Nezu, Tokyo.

The precinct was crowded with many worshipers. They were queueing up in front of the prayer hall and moving as slow as a snail. Although I have visited this shrine many times, it was a first time to see such queue.

Everybody seemed to want to be performed a purification ceremony. So the deities enshrined here could be very busy on that day. They had to get on with the job of purification from one minute to the next.
