While walking through Intramuros, the old part of Manila, in the early afternoon, I passed many children. All the children were wearing their school uniforms. They were children on their way home from school. Here, uniforms and ID cards seem to be a set, and they all had ID cards hanging around their necks. I wondered if it was a student ID card.
Unless it's a very large school, the students and teachers all know each other, so I don't think the ID cards are needed very often. However, seeing that all the children were wearing ID cards around their necks, I wondered if there were frequent incidents of suspicious people coming into the school here.
The girl in the photo is one of the girls I met at Intramuros in the afternoon. She was still wearing her school uniform and had her ID card around her neck. When I pointed my camera at her, she stared at me with her lips pursed in a straight line.
