Whenever I go on a trip, I naturally tend to go to old cities or towns that have been flourishing for a long time. It seems that old things are more to my liking than the latest and most fashionable atmosphere. When I came to Manila, I visited the old prosperous district of Intramuros.
Intramuros had an idyllic atmosphere, with children playing in the streets. The streets were not crowded with cars, making it an ideal playground for children, who seemed to be unaware of my intrusion, but they were very aware of me.
When I pointed my camera at one of the girls, she began to put her hands over her ears, shyly, although she did not look at the camera. The boy in the foreground was smiling and looking at me. Whether they were looking at the camera or not, all the children were aware of my camera.
