The man in this photo was a tailor who worked in Rangpur. Similar to India and Nepal, in Bangladesh, if you walk around the city, you will see many people making a living as a tailor. Seems to be a fairly common occupation. I don't know if it's popular or not, but I think it's not something anyone can do because it requires specialized skills. It may be that skill helps the livelihood regardless of the country.
On the other hand, not all tailors are busy because there are many of them here and there. When I took this man's photo, he was spending a lot of time at the sewing machine, waiting to get his hands dirty.
