The man in this photo was a little bit shy. When I focused on him, he started to laugh and refuse eye contact although he looked straight at me until just before. Anyway, the local people in Yangon were cheerful. They adopted an attitude of smoothness to the foreign traveler.
It was unbelievable to understand the fact that Myanmar was ruled by the junta by only watching the local people. I couldn't feel any sombernesses under the military government. According to the guidebook, the secret police was keeping an eye on the streets, people were cheerful in general.
