The earrings swayed gently in the girl's ear as she smiled awkwardly
The girl and her mother were sitting on a bench in a plaza in the center of Oaxaca. When I approached them and asked to take their picture, the mother let me take a picture of her with a blissful smile on her face. In contrast to the mother, the girl was calm.
She may have been a little perplexed by her mother's casual acceptance in the first place. Still, when I pointed the camera at her, she smiled awkwardly and the earrings in her ears swayed. It was interesting to see the completely different reactions to the camera between parent and child. Still, the girl had a lovely face.
