Young people stood in front of me as I walked down the alley with my camera in my hand
As I was walking down a busy alley, a young man came up to me and stood in front of me. I thought I was blending in with my surroundings and walking casually, but the appearance of an East Asian walking down an alley in Kolkata stands out.
The young man who came up to me did not come up to give me a hard time. It was simply because it was unusual to see a foreigner walking around with a camera. In response to the young man's interest in cameras, I held up my camera.
As I was taking pictures, boys and men who had not been there before began to stop in front of me. Other passersby who wondered what I was doing joined in, and the number of people in front of my lens grew and grew.
