I was standing by the roadside. The street was wide and many cars were coming and going. Yet it was crowded. The automobiles moved slowly.
During watching the flow of the traffic, a taxi came in front of me. Its window was opened and a taxi driver craned out of the window. He stared at me and seemed to survey my situation. He might think whether I became his customer or not. Unfortunately, I had no intention of hiring a taxi.
