Like many other markets in the Southeastern countries, most of the people working in the market were female. I also saw many mothers working with their babies in this market. Selling goods seemed to be women's work. While women worked in the market, men might work the farm labor in somewhere else. The traditional gender role still alive.
Two mothers in this photo were also selling vegetables while they were looking after babies.
