A man in a Gandhi cap was sitting on the side of the road in Pune. In front of the man was a pile of artichokes. He was a street vendor of artichokes. He picked up some artichokes for sale and showed them to his customers.
His gesture of appeal to the customers was a bit awkward, and he didn't look like he sold them on a regular basis. His gaze also seemed to be flirtatious with the customer. He was showing a primness that made me think that perhaps he had decided to sell artichokes that day because he happened to have harvested more than he could consume in his vegetable garden.
