Gandhi Cap And Tank Top

Man wearing Gandhi cap

The man wore a Gandhi cap

Shot in the city of Nasik, India.

The slightly fat man wore a Gandhi cap and a tank top. He was sitting by the wayside alone. I saw many men wearing this kind of cap in Maharashtra. Its name derived from Mahatma Gandhi. And it had been worn commonly by Indian independence activists.

Yet I didn't think the man in the photo was an activist. Now it has lost its political significance and became a part of an everyday outfit for locals.
