At the end of an alley in the old city of Fez, I saw a middle-aged woman wearing a jellaba. The jellaba is a long coat with a hood that is said to be the source of the cloak worn by the Jedi in Star Wars. It is unisex, and many men and women walk around here wearing it.
The middle-aged woman was trudging down the alley alone. She was walking with her head down and seemed to be on her way home. Behind her, I could see a crossing corridor, creating a frame in the narrow alley. The woman walking from the other side looked as if she had just stepped out of the frame and into our world.
