Walking through a residential area in Daulatabad, I encountered a group of women who were relaxing close together on the side of the road. They were all women of different ages, but they all had similar faces. I guessed from their faces that they were a grandmother, mother and daughter.
A closer look revealed that the grandmother and mother had pierced noses. The left nostril piercing is not that uncommon in South Asia. However, the girl with the bobbed hair did not have a nose piercing. Perhaps there is an appropriate age for nose piercing.
