A grandmother was holding a baby with a serene face. And the baby was relaxing completely in her arms. Perhaps, its mother was just working somewhere and this older woman looked after instead of the mother.
Like other locals, Thanaka was painted on the baby's face. Thanaka seemed to be used from an early age. It was employed by both the young and the old. Yet this woman seemed to dislike it. She didn't paint Thanaka on her face.
