The boys, who were sitting on a bench in good company, laughed happily at me
A group of three boys were sitting close together on a bench placed on the side of the road. Unlike in Japan, portable video game consoles are not yet common here. None of the three had one of its kind. The three of them just lingered and talked. Then, when they found a camera, they asked me to take their picture. I wish I could.
Even though camera phones are becoming more and more common, being photographed still seems to be an unusual experience for the boys. When I held up my camera, all three of them smiled at me.
