Intramuros, the old town of Manila, has several historic sites of interest. Some of them are fortunate enough to remain undestroyed, although they were pretty much destroyed during the Second World War. And in the vicinity of such tourist-friendly places, motorbike taxis called tricycles are waiting for customers.
The literal translation of "tricycle" means simply "tricycle," but here in the Philippines, even if a tricycle is a tricycle, it means a motorbike taxi with a sidecar on the side of the bike.
There was one tricycle parked on the side of the road near Manila Cathedral. And a boy in half-pants was poking his head through the gap to see what was going on. What on earth was he looking at?
