I saw many pilgrims in Nasik. Because the Godavari river which flows in the city of Nasik was recognized as one of the holiest rivers in India. And some of them took a ritual bath in the in the river and some of them performed a ceremony on the riverbank. The pious place called Ramkund was bustling with the pilgrims.
The man in this photo was also a pilgrim. He might come here to take a ritual bath. Yet he sat silently in a location away from the pious place. Nevertheless, he might be satisfied with coming to the holy place. And he smiled gently when I focused on him.
