While walking through an alley in the old town of Bhaktapur, I came across a young girl. She had her hair tied up in pigtails. When I pointed my camera at the pretty girl, she stared into the lens with her large, round eyes. The girl's eyes in the viewfinder were not only large, they were sparkling. I felt as if the sparkling eyes embodied the girl's inner self. But that would be a self-serving assumption. It must be a kind of bias to assume innocence just because she is a young child.
