A cat was relaxing on the other side of the latticed door. The door had a lock on it, so I couldn't open it. The cat inside should be safe. But for the cat that was relaxing inside, the mere fact that a stranger had approached seemed to be an emergency, and it was wary of me.
I had no intention to do so, but I seemed to have unintentionally destroyed the cat's peaceful routine. The cat is staring at me. Even if I wanted to interrupt it, I couldn't. Whether it knew it or not, the cat was observing me from a safe place.
