I was walking through Kathmandu when I saw a woman standing at the entrance of a passage. She noticed that I was holding a camera and smiled shyly at me. I didn't call out to her, but I guess a foreigner scurrying around with a camera would stand out. But looking at the camera seemed to be a different matter. I pointed my camera at her, but she didn't look at me. A bit disappointing.
After passing through the passage where the woman was standing, I seemed to come to a courtyard called the Bahal. Bahal is a courtyard surrounded by buildings. In Kathmandu, the entrance to Bahal is often a narrow alley.
