A man was working quietly in a store in a deserted alley.
As I wandered around, I found myself in an alley with no pedestrians. Houses lined both sides of the straight alley, and there were stores in places. A man was sitting on a chair placed in the shade created by a roof over the storefront.
Most of the time, when people sit on chairs in stores around Kolkata, they are usually relaxed, but the man in this store was different. He was working on something with metal parts in his hands. With so few people on the street, he seemed to be able to concentrate on his work without disturbing anyone.
