Myanmar, located in Southeast Asia, is hot even in January, and the Ayeyarwady River was not full of water. The river, which is still wide enough even now, must become wider after the dry season.
As I walked along the banks of the Ayeyarwady River, which had been widened in vain, I saw a young boy sitting alone in the shade of a tree, looking at the river. As I approached him, he noticed me and turned around and looked at me as if inviting me to watch the river with him. There was no reason for me to refuse such an invitation. For a short while, I gazed idly at the stream of the Ayeyarwady River with the boy.
