The man was sitting in the shade. Like many other people in the city of Juchitan, he wasn't doing anything in particular and was taking his time. His face looked vaguely Asian. As a matter of fact, the indigenous people in Mexico are Mongoloid, just like in Japan. However, since the arrival of the Spaniards, they have been mixed in with European Caucasians. Therefore, there are many people who look like Europeans and Asians at the same time.
I asked the man if I could take a photo of him, and he was happy to oblige. But he didn't give me a look. He remained staring into the distance.
