In a corner of the alley, I saw a tricycle with a loading platform. In Kolkata, trucks are used to ship goods from factories and transport goods over long distances, but unloading and transporting goods over small distances is generally done by hand. I guess the labor cost is low. The tricycles parked in the alleys are also used for this kind of human-powered transportation.
When I walked by, I couldn't see the owner of the vehicle. Instead, there was a dog. I thought he might be on guard duty, but it was curled up on the back of the bike, sleeping comfortably. As long as the vehicle didn't move, it must be a good place to take a nap.
