As I was walking through the streets of Mumbai, a boy came up to me. He seemed to be curious about my SLR camera. Yet, as I turned the camera to take the photo, his smile faded and his expression became tense. What I saw in the viewfinder was a dour face with his lips closed tight.
Many times, children come up to me with joy, but when I pointed the camera at them, their smiles would fade away. Is it bad the way I take photos? Well, even though they are interested in having photos taken, it is a bit nerve-wracking to have photos taken by a foreigner who is a stranger, isn't it?
