A boy came up to me as I was walking along the main road. It was unusual for a foreigner to be walking around Malda, which is not a tourist area, and the boy seemed to be attracted by the rarity and approached me. When the boy stopped in front of me, he showed his white teeth and smiled at me. He looked very happy to have the camera pointed at him.
Everybody around here is happy to let you take their picture. When I capture a smiling person in my viewfinder, I am smiling too. I feel that smiling has the power to solve everything.
