As I was walking through the countryside of Berhampore, a young man on a bicycle passed me. I thought he was just going to go on his way, but he stopped a little while after passing by. As I looked at him, he turned around and looked at me with a sideways glance. He seemed to be interested in the camera.
In Japan, even if you see something that attracts your interest in town, you would not look at it so blatantly. I feel that Indians are more honest about their desires than Japanese. This man did not suppress his curiosity, either. But he did not say anything to me. The man just stared at me in silence.
