Although the street was not very wide, it was crowded with many people walking around. This seems to be one of the main streets in the old town of Aurangabad. Stores are lined up in rows, and many street vendors are doing business along the roadside. The man in the photo was one of them.
The man was selling a pile of clothes on a wagon. From the looks of it, there are many stores selling clothes and fabrics in this area. Perhaps this is a remnant of the silk and cotton fabric production that flourished around Aurangabad. However, nowadays, the main industry seems to be the manufacture of auto parts.
