In the museum, which was once the royal palace of the Kingdom of Luang Prabang, there was a pond with lotus flowers in bloom. In Buddhism, the lotus flower, which emerges from muddy water and blooms into a beautiful, clean flower, is a symbol of the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha. Since Laos is a Buddhist country, it is not surprising that they are planted in the ponds of the royal palace.

With the rise of the tourism industry, Luang Prabang is gradually becoming materially richer. Until now, everyone was poor, but from now on, there will be a gap between the rich and the poor, between the haves and have-nots. As a mere tourist, I do not want the people to lose their benevolence symbolized by the lotus flower even under such circumstances.
