I stood on the Yanagi-Bashi bridge and watched the Kanda-Gawa river flowing under the bridge. The both sides of the river was embanked. And the stream stretched straight. Many houseboats were moored along the riverbank. This area is a kind of the wharf for the houseboats. Yet no passengers were seen on them. It is after dark that they come into operation.
The river was silent. In the meantime, a tugboat came from over there. As opposed to the houseboats holding steady, it seemed to be in a hurry. It was moving while rippling on the surface of the water.
