The men were chatting and the old woman at the counter sat still
There are many stores in the Yamuliao Market in Tainan. Looking at it from a distance, it seems that some stores were thriving and others not so much. Fortunately or unfortunately, the store in this photo seemed to be the latter. There were almost no items for sale on the counter. Instead, there were two elderly men chatting away. They didn't seem to be customers, judging from the fact that there was no sign of movement. They must be good friends with the owner. They were relaxing here.
There was an older woman at the counter who seemed to be the owner of this store. She did not enter into the conversation between the two men but remained seated. She looked bored. When I pointed my camera at her, the old woman quietly returned my gaze.
