Like Swayambhunath, Boudhanath also had a huge stupa towering in the center of the grounds. Unlike the Buddhist temples in Japan, the stupa is placed at the center of the Buddhist temple here. It seems that the stupa that houses Buddha's ashes is much more important than the statues, even if they are decorated with gold.

Two Tibetan women were walking around the large stupa. Tibetan dress is different from that of Nepalese dress, so they were easily recognizable. Although this Tibetan Buddhist temple is in Nepal, there were many Tibetan refugees living in Nepal, so it was not surprising that many Tibetans come to worship here.

All the visitors went in a clockwise direction around the stupa. The two tibetan worshippers walked at a fixed distance, not saying a word to each other. Some doves were flying above their heads. Did the doves know that this was a sacred place? No, I didn't think they understand.
