It was a fair day, and the grounds of Nezu Shrine were crowded with people. There were many people walking along the usually deserted approach to the shrine. It was fun to buy something from the food stalls, but there were also many people who came to the shrine to pay their respects to the gods. The narrow approach to the shrine was lined with small torii gates that looked like arches, and it was fun to walk under them.

As I stopped beside the approach, a girl came over to me. The girl was also happily walking through the torii gate. At the same time, a young couple was walking from the other side. The young man and woman also seemed to be enjoying themselves. If all the people who came to the shrine were smiling, the God who resides there must also be happy.
